I was very interested in Sarah’s new pattern, the Pooled Infinity Scarf. After meeting up with Sarah and obtaining a skein of Intrepid Tulips Sock in Campfire, I cast on right away. I had to go up two needle sizes to get vertical striping and it took me several rows to learn how to change my tension in order to get the pooling design in the pattern. Once I figured that all out, it was so interesting to watch the shifting of colors. I learned a lot knitting this cowl. I don’t think I’ve ever tried to cause pooling on purpose before and I became very aware of how my yarn tension affected my knitting. Fascinating exercise and a very innovative design with a lovely cowl as the end result.
